A tender floral jade brooch in fresh hues of lively green. An oval piece of mottled green jade has been delicately carved and pierced into a pattern of flowers and leaves. The jade has been set in a sterling silver frame. The pin is a secure safety clasp. Circa 1920.

During the 1920s Chinese design was all the rage in the West. Women adorned themselves in jewelry from China, and carved gemstones in traditional designs were very popular.
